So It's like 11:16 in the morning here and I'm enjoying a cold coffee while I try to get my shit together and do something constructive for once. Right now my feet are kind of killing me, my ears are still deaf but I can't deny I had quite some fun last night at club Underworld, the music was cool and I got to dance for quite a few hours and probably this could be repeated also tonight. Definitely I don't mind since on monday I'll be leaving again for Italy, something I'm not too happy about right now but it has to be done, so I don't know when I'll have the same amount of fun again. Maybe this summer again, if I'll manage to come back home when clubs are still open, something that is all in the hands of my university. We'll see I guess, after all June isn't too far away.
Well nothing else for now, I'm too groggy to right something really constructive even If I believe there isn't anything really important to write about.

Ok let's begin with the DA related stuff. I've began uploading today the unedited versions of the Orta series on my stock account ~s-ylVISION, so far 6 of those are up and most of them are rejected shots from the main series and maybe they are gonna make it on the outtake series. I was planning to post the unedited versions last, but my computer here in Greece isn't in such a good shape so working on modifying images is a bit draining...my new pc spoiled me. So I guess I'll take care of the second series from monday 16 when I'll be back home, that will also allow me to give the whole thing the good ending I was aiming for, hopefully you'll see what I mean. For the very same reasons I doubt I'll do anything for this account since I'd rather wait and have a fully functional pc instead of knocking out a potentially good, but horribly executed, work just for the hell of it. However I've been thinking of a new series to work and some extra stuff that could possibly lead to some good ol' dark art, which reminds me that I have to contact some old brush providers that no longer post their works here and could possibly be kind enough to send me the brushes I need. We'll see I guess. I'm also planning a return to Photoshop 7.0 instead of CS2, since i find the second unsuited to my needs since the additions go beyond my limited abilities, it takes a lot to load even on a good pc and it's incompattible with some resources I feel comfortable using again. And what else? Nothing I think since I'd rather wait instead of talking of all the ideas that are coming up these days since, as you might have noticed in the past few journals, plans often have to change for unforseen mishaps and changes of heart.
Outside DA things are going fine, this short vacation was just what I needed despite there are some obbligations I have to take care of here and there. Finally I also get to enjoy Athens' night life in the areas that interest me that are usually closed when I visit during summer, leaving only some rather annoying and expensive dance clubs for 50 Cent and Paris Hilton wannabes. Tonight I should be going to a place called Dark Sun, I haven't seen that place since...well since I signed up here. It's been a while then and hopefully it will still be good as it was back then.

Ok allora cominciamo con le cose che riguardano DA. Oggi ho iniziato a caricare le versione non ritoccate della serie Orta nel mio account stock ~s-ylVISION, finora sono 6 e quasi tutte non utilizzate per la serie principale. Il piano era comunque di caricare le foto stock per ultime, concludendo prima la serie delle foto scartate, ma purtroppo il pc che ho in Grecia non e nelle condizioni migliori e i tentativi di sistemare quelle foto erano parecchio stancanti...in pratica il mio nuovo pc mi vizia. Cosi penso che cominciero a occuparmi della nuova serie da Lunedi 16, giorno del mio ritorno, cosa che mi dara la possibilita di chiudere la cosa nel modo migliore che avevo in mente, probabilmente vedrete presto di cosa si tratta. Per ragioni simili dubito che faro qualcosa anche su questo account, visto che preferisco aspettare di avere un pc in buone condizioni piuttosto che fare un lavoro potenzialmente buono, ma sviluppato male, tanto per caricare qualcosa. Comunque ho in mente una nuova serie su cui lavorare finita questa e anche qualche lavoro che potrebbe portare a delle immagini dark, cosa che mi fa ricordare che devo contattare alcuni vecchi creatori di brush che non caricano piu i loro lavori qua per chiedergli se sarebbero in grado di mandarmi alcune delle loro vecchie creazioni che ho perso. Vedremo che succede. Inoltre sto pensando di tornare a usare Photoshop 7.0 rispetto che CS2, visto che quest'ultima ha degli avvanzamenti solo in aeree che vanno oltre le mie limitate capacita, richiede molto per caricare e spesso risulta incompatibile con delle risorse che vorrei tornare a usare. Che altro? Niente visto che preferisco aspettare piuttosto che parlare di cose che un motivi tecnici o cambi di idea non verranno realizzati.
Al di fuori di DA, tutto procede bene, avevo proprio bisogno di questa vacanza anche se ho comunque alcuni impegni a cui devo dedicarmi. Inoltre finalmente riesco a godermi la vita notturna di Atene nei posti che mi interessano visto che d'estate tendono a essere chiusi lasciando solo discoteche costose e pacchiane per idioti che si credono 50 Cent o Paris Hilton. Stasera dovrei andare in un posto chiamato Dark Sun, non vedo quel locale da...beh da quando mi sono iscritto a questo posto. Ne e passato di tempo, spero che comunque sia rimasto carino come allora

So after another week of hell it looks like I'm going back home in Greece afterall. If all goes I'll be leaving on monday morning, if something doesn't...I won't be surprised.
However let's carry on thinking positive things, there is no need to get all pissed of until something bad actually happens.
To be honest I need some time off and two weeks will do just that, I'll get to see my parents and some friends that will probably be somewhere else when I go back there this summer. Maybe I'll also get some time, if the weather doesn't turn shitty like here in Bologna, to shoot some pics there too, that would be interesting...me playing the tourist in my hometown.
Talking of photos I finished with the Orta series here and now I think I'll take a little break from posting here in order to finish the series on ~s-ylMIND and ~s-ylVISION, for the reason I talked about in past journals.
Nothing else to say for now...have a safe weekend.

Alla fine dopo un'altra settimana infernale, sembra proprio che tornero in Grecia. Se tutto va bene partiro lunedi mattina, mentre se qualcosa va storto...non mi sorprendero affatto.
Comunque andiamo avanti pensando positivo, non c'e motivo di incazzarsi fino a che qualcosa di brutto non succede davvero.
Onestamente ho bisogno di una pausa e un paio di settimane mi daranno proprio questo, avro la possibilita di vedere i miei e anche alcuni amici che forse quest'estate che tornero di nuovo saranno altrove. Forse trovero anche il tempo di fare qualche foto, sperando che il tempo non diventi merdoso come quello di Bologna. Sicuramente sara interessante...me che faccio il turista nella mia citta.
A proposito di foto, ho finito con la serie di Orta su questo account, percio credo che faro un breve pausa per poter finire del tutto la serie su ~s-ylMIND e ~s-ylVISION, per i motivi elencati in precedenti journal.

Nothing really to report, the rain these days makes everything so boring. I still don't know if on monday I'm gonna leave 2 weeks for Greece because apparently I have to pay 160 euros for someone elses mistake...fat chance!
So pretty much the only thing I might add that is worthy of any mention here is that I won't be using the scraps area of this account for variations and scrapped versions of recent devs, but I'll resurrect the good ol' ~s-ylMIND account. In the end, who gives a shit about scraps really? So I might as well post them on the other account I started for this very reason. After all, why waste space by having a useless account since if someone is interested in them, he'll go to ~s-ylMIND with the same ease of going to the scraps area.

Nulla di nuovo da dire, la pioggia di questi giorni rende tutto cosi noioso. Inoltre ancora non so se andro infine in Grecia per un paio di settimane visto che dovrei pagare 160 euro per un errore altrui...si certo!
Quindi l'unica cosa degna di essere segnalata in quest'area e un cambiamento di rotta riguardo alle mie ultime dichiarazioni, in pratica ho deciso di non usare l'area scrap di questo account per le varianti e le versione bocciate delle dev ma di rispolverare l'accound ~s-ylMIND. Alla fine chi se ne frega delle scrap? E poi perche sprecare spazio su DA con un account inutile quando chi sarebbe interessato a questi lavori potrebbe andare a ~s-ylMIND con la stessa facilita dell'accedere alle scrap?

Well I'm almost done with the pictures that led me to come back here so that brings a bit of thinking on what to do next.
Currently the future projects still revolve around those pictures, since i'll be posting some leftovers and alternate versions as scraps on this account.
I'm also thinking of giving a bit of a facelift to the ~s-ylVISION account and still use it as a stock accound of sorts.
I say "of sorts" since I'm not interested in shooting images meant to be stock photos, I will just post the unedited versions of images I used or discarded so if someone is interested in using them somehow will be free to do so. I'm sure this will piss off some stock purists that believe that this is the highest form of art, like last time, and I'll get tons of hate mail for being an awful photographer that didn't think "Hmmm I wonder if a million people will find this of any use" before shooting a picture. Oh well, that's how it used to work here some years ago and maybe it still is like that, but in the end who cares.
Other plans include the posting of some pictures shot at concerts the last year, those aren't much to look at since I used a tiny cell phone camera, but some turned out interesting.
As for what will come after this...I still don't have a clue, we'll just have to see.
Oh and before I go, I'm also gonna clean up the communities and friends pages by pretty much starting over. You can immagine that after a 2 year absence I don't have the time to go "knocking on every door" to see who is still here and who remembers me. So if someone from the past, be it a deviant or a community, will give signs of existence his devwatch will be reactivated and an icon will be put in the rightfull page. If not, life goes on, doesn't it?

Allora ho quasi finito con le foto che hanno portato al mio ritorno qua, percio ho cominciato a pensare al cosa fare da li in poi.
Attualmente i progetti piu immediati sono comunque legati a questa serie di foto visto che intendo caricare sotto forma di scrap alcune versioni alternative o immagini bocciate sulle quali avevo comunque lavorato.
Inoltre sto considerando l'idea di dare una sistemata all'account ~s-ylVISION e tornare ad usare come una specie di account per immagini stock.
Dico "come una specie" perche decisamente non sono interessato a scattare foto partendo dall'idea di farne delle immagini stock, bensi intendo caricare versioni non ritoccate di foto che ho usato o scartato per le mie dev e che magari a qualcuno potrebbero interessare. Sicuramente la cosa irritera parecchi fanatici dei stock come la volta precedente, che dovevano per forza farmi sapere attraverso note molte aggressive cosa pensavano di me, pessimo fotografo che prima di scattare le proprie foto non pensava "Hmmm. Mi chiedo se un milione di persone trovera questa foto utile". Vabbeh, un tempo le cose qua giravano per questo verso e forse e ancora cosi, ma alla fine chi se ne frega.
Altri progetti riguardano il caricare foto scattate ad alcuni concerti l'anno scorso, non sono un gran che visto che ho usato una fotocamera da cellulare ma qualche risultato e interessante.
Inoltre prima di andare, sto pensando di dare una ripulita alle pagine dedicate alle community e agli amici partendo praticamente da zero. Potete ben capire che dopo due anni di assenza non ho il tempo di andare a "bussare ogni porta" per vedere chi ancora e qua e chi si ricorda di me. Quindi se qualcuno del mio passato qua, che sia un deviant o una community, dara segni della sua presenza i devwatch verranno riattivati e un icona verra messa nella pagina giusta. Altrimenti, la vita continua no?
